As always, we welcome any and all questions you may have.

Plasma vs LCD vs LED

PLASMA – Built with a hardened glass screen, is a gas based technology similar to that of the traditional CRT TV’s of years’ past, generally heavier than LCD/LED, offer the widest viewing angles of the 3 technologies @ around 178-degrees, black levels and color reproduction are more accurate overall than the average LCD/LED, response times are a non-factor so they provide the best solution for fans of sports and/or action movies. Available in sizes ranging from 42″-103″

LCD – Whereas plasmas have a glass screen, LCD’s consist of a softer plastic screen which can cut down on glare; provide a brighter picture than the average plasma/LED so they’re ideal for rooms where natural light is an issue; being a light based technology, black levels and colors such as red and green tend to be a bit bright, typical viewing angles vary from 145-degrees to 170-degrees; response times can be an issue for avid sports fans because of lag (though higher end models rival plasma performance) Available in sizes ranging from 7″-65″

LED – Latest and greatest technology on the market; screen design similar to that of an LCD;  lightest and thinnest technology of the 3; poorest off-axis viewing(poorest viewing angle); available as thin as .5″; available in two styles – edge-lit and local dimming. Available in sizes ranging from 19″-65″
